Recommended Replacement for 1998 Coleman Fleetwood Westlake
Question:
Hello, I have a 1998 Coleman Fleetwood Westlake, I currently have a trailer jack model is made by BAL rv products group #29005. This is a weld on, snap-ring, top wind jack. My camper has an old 500 lb capacity jack. I need to replace this with a side-wind jack. Unfortunatly a bolt on jack is not an option due to space limitations on the tongue of the trailer. I was hoping you could help me out. My thought is to remove the c-clip and hopefully find something that would slide on to the existing plate that is welded on now. Any help would be appreciated. Are these mounting plates typically universal?

I am not aware of any such trailer jack that we offer which will reuse your existing mounting bracket as they are typically brand specific, not universal. Therefore, this bracket will need to be removed, usually by cutting, and then replaced with a bolt-on option such as the Round Swivel Marine Jack w/ Wheel part # MJ-1200B which is a great cost effective replacement option for this.
