Availability of Bolt-On Spindle for 3,500 lb Axle
Question:
Hello, I recently purchased the 3500 lbs drums and self adjusting hardware. Really looks good but the custom trailer I am trying to install it on has a smaller bolt on spindle than the one is on the trailer now. Was hoping to find some help if you sell bolt on spindles that will fit the 3500lbs capacity brakes and drums. Thanks,

Thank you for the purchase of the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA and the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-K!
These fit standard 3,500 lb spindles like what you asked about, and while some of our spindles have brake mounting flanges that come installed on them, all of our spindles are weld-on applications. If your current spindle is a bolt-on then I'd try reaching out to the axle manufacturer to see if they have replacements. If not then we have some great solutions here for replacing your axle. One of the most popular being the Timbren Axle-Less system as it provides more control for your trailer and it is easier to install. I've attached a link to our selection of 3,500 lb Timbren Axle-Less suspension systems that you can check out.
