How To Add a 7-Way Trailer Connector To a 2010 Toyota Tundra with Brake Controller Port Under Dash
Question:
If I’ve got the quick connect under the dash for the controller. Then where would the connector to add the 7 way at the hitch? My 4way has a connector, but I don’t see another. Will I need to buy a wire that runs from the hitch to the front?

If there is a plug-in brake controller port under the dash then the circuits needed for a 7-way trailer connector should already be run. In order to confirm this you will be looking for two square grey plugs which are located near the rear spare tire. If you have both of these and not just one then you can use the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package part # HM11143395. If you however only have one of these grey plugs then the one you have found under the dash is most likely not for a brake controller so you'd need to hardwire the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7.
