How to Properly Snap the Bracket Covers on the Thule MOAB Cover
Question:
I received my basket today and assembled it. I did find that the lock covers that slip over the mounting points dont seem to fit very tight, I see a snap feature in them but dont feel a positive engagment. Is this normal ? Im just concerned that they could possibly fly off. Thanks

I think I know what is going on with your Thule M.O.A.B. Roof Top Cargo Carrier # TH690. I went out and talked to one of our installers and he said he had the same problem you are describing when he had the mounting points too close to the thicker bars that run from front to back on the cargo basket. If you space the mounting brackets a little farther away from those bars the problem you are experiencing should go away.
If the mounting brackets are too close to those bars the lock covers will not be able to completely attach to the mounting brackets because the bars will interfere.
