Availability of Trailer hub with 5 on 5 inch Bolt Pattern
Question:
Hi there. I currently have a 5 on 5.5 hub assemblies. I want to change over to 5 on 5 hub assemblies. How can I go about that?

We have replacement hubs for trailers that have the 5 on 5 inch bolt pattern you have but they'll need to be 3,500 lb axle assemblies as that's only capacity we have that bolt pattern in. For a hub drum you'd want the # AKHD-550-35-EZ-K or for an idler part # AKIHUB-550-35-K. To verify your axle capacity you can check the axle for a plate with ID info and the capacity should be listed there. Or you can measure diameter of axle and if it's 2-3/8 that would indicate it's 2,500 as well.
