Recommended Ball Mount with 4 Rise and Extended Shank
Question:
Looking for a Ball Mount/ball for my 2019 Range Rover Sport HST. It has a recessed hitch already installed and my 8 long, 2 , 4 rise, 2 hitch with 6000lbs capacity is just too short. Need something at least 8-10 longer with the ball so I can tow my boat.. Any recommendations? At that length do I need to buy the ball separately?

The longest fixed ball mount we offer with a 4" rise is the Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches part # D-28 which measures 14-1/4" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. If this will not work you will need a hitch extender, the Curt Hitch Extender for 2" Hitch Receivers part # C45791 but keep in mind this will reduce your hitch capacity by 50%.
If you go with the Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches part # D-28, you'll also need the 2" Hitch Ball part # 63845.
