Hitch and Wiring For 2017 Chevy Express Van Cab and Chassis Cutaway

Trying to find a hitch for my 2017 Chevy Express 4500 chassis. My frame rails measure 42 inches outside to outside.

I recommend the Buyers Products hitch part # 3371801102 which is the only fit the cab and chassis Chevy Express van. This will give you a 2" hitch on the van with a 12000 lb towing capacity. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C15320 is a fit for the passenger van.

For the wiring, you'll need part # A10-7072VP if the Chevy Express has a factory tow package. If it doesn't have a factory tow package, you'll need part # 118392 which is a 4-pole flat. If you need a 7-way you'll have to add a 7-way adapter part # ETBC7.

You may also consider the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. If you are not sure how much rise/drop you may need in a ball mount to tow your trailer level, I recommend to take a look at the helpful article I have attached about how to figure the amount of rise or drop you may need.
