How to Measure the Rise of a Ball Mount for a Chrysler PT Cruiser
Question:
how is the rise measured on the Hitch Drawbar? Is it measured from the bottom of the bar, the top of the bar or from the middle of the hole? Thank you, Hugh

The rise is the distance from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform, with the ball mount in the position (rise) it will be used in. I am including a link to a FAQ page that will describe how to measure and choose the correct ball mount.
The 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser uses a Class I 1-1/4 inch hitch. All Class I hitches have to use the ball mount that is recommended from the manufacturer.
The Draw-Tite Ball Mount, part # 3593, is the ball mount that is recommended for the Draw-Tite Hitch # 24759. It has a 2-1/8 inch rise or a 2-3/4 inch drop. It includes the pin and clip.
If you have the CURT Hitch # C11132, the ball mount that comes with that hitch is the CURT Ball Mount, part # C45520. It has a 3-1/8 inch rise only.
