Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension for Utility Trailer

Question:

Hello, I’m looking at the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System with Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 - Off-Road Tires - 1,200 lbs - A12WS545 I have a small utility trailer that’s made of 2” tubular steel without axles that I plan on installing this product on. I was wondering if this product I have chosen would work. And if this is the proper product for me. Max load would be about 1200lbs I would think. My Honda Civic would be pulling this trailer, so wondering if height would be an issue. Currently the height of trailer is level with my trailer hitch mount, this one would add 4” of height?

For you trailer, the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System with Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 - Off-Road Tires - 1,200 lbs # A12WS545 is a great option. If you are connecting them where there is a cross beam nothing else is needed. If there is no cross beam at that location then you would use a 2 inch square bar between the assemblies in the dedicated hole location for the needed stability so you don't twist the trailer frame. If you already have leaf springs on your trailer, then this shouldn't change your trailer height as it replaces the leaf spring and hanger height attaching directly to the frame. If it does create a different height then you would need to have a ball mount that is compatible so the trailer can ride level.

If you have a 4 inch rise then you would use Draw-Tite Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches - 4" Rise - 10" Long - 2,000 lbs # 3594 and the appropriate size hitch ball for your coupler to make it level. I've attached an article to assist to make sure you have the correct measurement.
