Recommended TPMS for Motorhome and Tow Vehicle

Question:

Hello, I need top purchase a TPMS. My setup is a 43 Tag Axle Diesel Pusher RV towing a 2011 Jeep Liberty. Im looking at the TST-507 color monitor system. I have a few questions: 1- Id like it to be hardwired so I dont have to ever worry about charge status. Id have it on switched power. Is that doable with this system? 2- I would like the pressure displayed as soon as it powers up, rather than waiting until the RV moves. Is that the way this system works? 3- Does it have user replaceable sensor batteries? 4- Flow through or cap sensors? Which is better for me? 5- What is total cost with the number and type of sensors I owjld need? Thanks!

The TST TPMS for RVs part # TST-507-FT-6-C is what I recommend using to monitor the tire pressures on both the motorhome and towed vehicle. This system uses the flow-through sensors which will be best because motorhomes usually have valve stem extenders which interfere with the other cap-style sensors. The monitor is powered via a cigarette lighter plug which could be modified to wire directly to the battery but this is not something I can recommend. The system will show the psi inside the tires as soon as the monitor is powered on so you don't have to move the vehicle in order to read them and the battery inside the sensors are replaceable.

In order to add extra sensors, you can use the Flow Through Tire Sensors part # TST-507-FT-S2.
