Will Swagman Cable Lock Fit Thule Threaded Hitch Pin for a Thule Bike Rack on a 2011 Buick Enclave
Question:
I have a Thule hitch mounted bike rack and would like to purchase a lock for it. I noticed the Swagman lock has a cable to string thru the bikes and want to know if the Swagman lock will work on my Thule hitch. I have a 2inch receiver on my 2011 Buick Enclave and the bolt holding the hitch is metric but Im not sure of the size?

Manufacturers make their threaded hitch pins and locks unique so that they can only be used with their products so you cannot use a Swagman lock in a Thule bike rack. The correct lock for a Thule bike rack is # THSTL2.
You can also get Thule cable lock # TH538XT and then add Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders, # TH450200, to key the hitch and cable locks alike to use 1 key for both locks. I have included a video review of the Thule lock for you.
