Plug In Connector to Make a Hopkins Agility Brake Controller Removable on a 2011 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I would like to use the HM47294 controller on my 2011 silverado so that I have the option of plugging in the unit rather than just splicing it to my harness. I have located the existing wires under my dash and the 2 wires under the hood. I thought of also purchasing the adapter cable you offer PN 47795 I believe? and cutting off the square plug, then splicing that to my 4 under dash wires so that I have the option of plugging the male and female flat plugs together for easy removal of the unit if needed. Is this a viable option or does hopkins offer a flat plug harness with just four dead end wire at the other end?

What you can do is use the Agility, # HM47294, and then use either the adapter you referenced, # HM47795, or use the second vehicle mounting kit, # HM47685. The second vehicle kit is a little more cost effective and you will not need to cut off a connector. Either way will work and you can unplug the brake controller when you want to.
