Installing 5th Wheel Hitch on 2008 Ford F350 With Gooseneck Hitch
Question:
I have a 2008 Ford F350 Super Duty. It has a gooseneck under bed hitch installed. It looks like the brackets for that might interfere with an install of a fifth wheel hitch brackets. Will this be an issue? Will the gooseneck bolts in the frame mess with a 5th wheel rails install?

Expert Reply:
The brackets for the existing gooseneck hitch would interfere with installing a standard bracket and bed rail fifth wheel hitch mount but there are alternatives available for certain brands and models of gooseneck hitches. For the Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store gooseneck hitches, use part # C16210. For B&W Turnover Ball hitches, use # 16310 and for Curt EZr Double-Lock gooseneck hitches, use # C16220.
There's also an option that would attach direclty to the gooseneck ball, no matter what brand hitch is being used, part
# DM8550045.
You can also simply remove the existing gooseneck hitch and install a bracket/rail kit like # RP50082-58.
