Will the Swagman Trailhead Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Clear the Spare Tire on a 2009 Toyota RAV4

Will Swagman Trailhead Part # S63360 fit a 2009 Toyota Rav4 Limited with rear mounted spare tire and cover. Drawtite hitch 2x 22 holes

On trailer hitches we have installed on Toyota RAV4s the same generation as yours, we have found that it can be as much as 9 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole back to clear the spare tire on the vehicle. You will need to take the same measurement to be certain that Swagman Trailhead, # S63360, will fit.

The Trailhead measures 11 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the upright bar. If the measurement you can is less than 11 inches, it will clear the spare.

Another option is to use a spare tire mount bike rack like the Thule Spare Me, # TH963PRO. This rack does fit the 2009 Toyota RAV4. I have also linked instructions for this rack and the Trailhead.
