How To Install Adapter 4 Pole to 6 Pole A10-6034VP On Vehicle Without 4-Way

Question:

The install instructions for my wiring harness said to connect the yellow wire to the driver side blinker and brake lights. And do the same with the green wire on the passenger side. How do I connect one wire on the trailer to two different lights on my vehicle without shorting out my vehicles lights?

The Adapter 4 Pole to 6 Pole part # A10-6034VP that you referenced requires a 4-way flat for installation which has the brake and turn signals already combined. If the vehicle has combined signals already then you could just cut off the plug and wire the green and yellow wires directly into the tail light circuits on the vehicle. However, if the vehicle has separate lighting meaning the brake and turn signal circuits are on separate wires you'd need to combine them with a converter box, the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit part # 119178KIT which also protects the vehicle wiring in the event of a short.
