Trailer Hitch Recommendations for a 2011 Ford Escape with Vibration Damper on Exhaust
Question:
My escape has a vibration damper installed on the rear pipe out of the muffler. Is there any hitch 2inch or 1 1/4 that can be used that does not require the removal of the damper?

Yes, I do have a recommendation for you. This question has come up before and we contacted hitch manufacturers to determine fit. The Curt hitch # 13650, and Draw-Tite hitch # 75751 will both fit your 2011 Ford Escape with the vibration damper on the exhaust. I have included a link to the installation instructions.
If you plan on doing some towing, I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. For trailer wiring, if not already present on the vehicle, use # 118251 if the vehicle has a factory tow package unless the vehicle also has back up sensors. If it does not have a tow package or it has back up sensors, use # 118551. I have linked instructions for both harnesses for you.
