Is Threaded Hitch Pin Lock Reliable for etrailer Motorcycle Carrier

Question:

I plan to use your etrailer Motorcycle Carrier item # e98873 on my new front hitch with a 280 lb dirt bike. I am concerned that the threads on the anti-rattle hitch pin will get grinded/stripped after use. I had a threaded Kuat Bicycle carrier w/ a threaded hitch pin and it quickly ground down to being useless. Kuat moved to some steel ball tension system which works great. My question is Have you seen reliability problems with your anti-rattle hitch pin? Can you also comment on the reliability of the related part -Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock time # e99047 I am ready to purchase these items, I just have this concern based on my previous experience w/ threaded hitch pins. Thanks

I can understand your skepticism based on your previous experience with a threaded hitch pin, but I can tell you that I have not heard of any general reliability options with the use of threaded hitch pins in general or specifically with the use of the etrailer Motorcycle Carrier with Ramp for 2" Hitches # e98873.

The same holds true of the lock for this carrier, the Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock for etrailer Cargo Carriers for 2" Hitches # e99047.

I am completely confident that this hitch pin lock is going to last and give the carrier the security it needs. It does come with a lifetime warranty and is made out of chrome-plated steel so it isn't going to rust.

I have added links to video reviews for you to check out of both the Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock # e99047 and the Motorcycle Carrier # e98873.
