Curt Q24 5th Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500
Question:
2012 ram 3500 mega cab 6 ft 4 in bed. Need to install a fifth wheel to tow a hourse trailer. Need 4 ft 3 in clearance form center of fifth wheel to not hit the cab on the truck. Will this work?

Yes, you could use the Curt Custom Rail Kit # C16420-204 that you referenced as a rail kit for a fifth wheel hitch in the bed of your 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 with a 6 ft bed.
You will need to get a hitch with a slider to allow you to make 90 degree turns. When the slider is activated it will move the hitch 12 inches further back. I would recommend you get a Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with R24 Slider # C16546 to go with the # C16420-204. This is a slider hitch that should provide you with plenty of clearance to make 90 degree turns.
You could measure the distance from directly above the rear axle in your truck bed forward and then add 12 inches to that figure to determine if you could make a 90 degree turn with this setup. If not, you will need a Sidewinder pin box. Sidewinders are pin box specific, email me back with the pin box manufacturer and model you have on your trailer and I will set you up with the correct Sidewinder.
