Troubleshooting Trailer Lighting on Side of Trailer that Is Much Dimmer for Stop/Turn

Question:

On two different trucks, the lights test good with the plug in tester, all functions of the plug. But when my boat trailer is hooked to either truck, the left turn and left break light is very dim. I have 5 more trailers with led lights that have no problem. This is a brand new boat trailer, only a month old. What do I need to check? Thanks for any help

The ground for the light assemblies on the left side of the truck is weak which is preventing them from being able to illuminate fully. Try improving the ground and you should see them work again. You can run a wire from the assembly back to the main ground of the trailer or you can clean where the trailer light attaches to the frame and that will help as well.
