Question:
I will tow with a 2002 ford explorer V8. my RV is 3300 gtw with 600 tw. Will this fit my needs. another thing is the ball that comes with this WDH is 2 5/16. My trailer is 2. Can I get a 2inch ball with this or can I just replace it with the one I have. thanks for your reply

As long as the tongue weight of the trailer plus the weight of anything stored in the cargo area of your Explorer behind the rear axle does not exceed the 750 lb tongue weight capacity of the system, the # PS49582 would be a good choice for you. The friction sway control unit included with the kit works best on trailers shorter than 26 feet in length. If your trailer is longer than that, you might need to install another unit like # 83660 on the other side.
Although the system includes a 2-5/16 inch ball, you can certainly use a 2 inch ball as long as it has a 1-1/4 inch diameter threaded shank like part # A-90.
