With Bearing Buddy caps like # BB1781, you do not need to repack your bearings every year or two. The springs integrated in the caps ensure there is constant pressure to make sure the bearings are always packed with grease appropriately. I just recommend checking the rear seal to ensure there is no leaking as those rear seals can go bad and leak grease without anything noticeable from the front of your hub.
