Will the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit Work To Replace Dexter 13-104 Equalizer

Question:

Hi I am looking to upgrade my equalizer. It as 13-104 which I believe is a Dexter #. They have a upgrade kit K71-652-00. I am also looking at a Road Armor LC696740. The road Armor is about 3/4” longer from the mounting bolt to the end of the equalizer. Will this affect the trailer height. It will only give me 6” road clearance according to the dimensions I have seen. The dexter replacement only gave the dimensions of the equalizer which is 6”. Which one would you recommend? Is there a better option ? Thanks

The best equalizer upgrade and replacement we have for a Dexter 13-104 Equalizer is the E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System part # K71-652-00. This kit is an exact replacement and has the same dimensions of the equalizer it replaces. In comparison to the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit which is not a good fit, they both offer a cushioned ride but the Dexter kit is more complete as it comes with eye bolts and shackle straps which are also an upgrade since the eye bolts are grease-able and the shackle straps are much thicker therefore stronger.

The Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit is not a good fit as the dimensions do not match that of the Dexter 13-104 Equalizer.
