Recommendations to Reduce Sag Caused by Hauling Heavy Loads and Trailer Towing
Question:
I have a 2006 Ford F-550 4 wheel drive dump truck. I was wondering if these would help with leveling out my load? Also, will it help to lessen the sag when pulling a trailer? I was going to build up my rear springs, but I am concerned about destroying the ride when I am empty.

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFRSD will absolutely make a big difference in reducing the sag and create resistance that works with your 2006 Ford F-550 dump truck's factory suspension to help level out heavy loads - without affecting your unloaded ride.
Timbrens also can help provide weight distribution and sway control for applications where weight distribution systems cannot be used, like when towing 5th wheel or gooseneck trailers. Check out the attached FAQ for more information on the benefits and applications of Timbren Systems.
That being said, if you'll be pulling a standard A-Frame trailer, the recommended solution is a weight distribution system for your trailer. You'll want to pick a weight distribution system based on your total tongue weight, which includes the loaded tongue weight of your trailer, as well as the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of your F-550. Ideally, the total tongue weight of your setup will fall right in the middle of the weight distribution's tongue weight range. For example, if you calculate your total loaded tongue weight at around 1,300 lbs, the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System # RP66075 would offer the perfect solution since it has a range between 1,000 lbs - 1,700 lbs. It doesn't come with a shank, which allows you to select the correct one based on the amount of rise/drop you need to tow a level set-up.
