Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2011 Toyota RAV4 to Carry Bikes

Question:

2011 Toyota Rave 4 Limited with the full size spare mounted on the back door. I was looking for a trailer hitch for a 2011 Toyota RAV4, Limited and has the full sized spare mounted on the back door, that would not be a shin banger when the receiver tube is sitting empty. We really only haul bikes around with a Yakima bike rack, nothing else. Looking for opinion on easiest install with the least amount of modifications.

The Curt # C12108 hitch installs without drilling or modifications to your vehicle and has approximately 6" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of your rear mounted spare tire. As long as the shank of your Yakima bike rack has at least 6" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest spot part of the upright of the rack, this will work perfectly. Since the receiver tube is still recessed under the bumper a bit, it's not going to be a shin-banger- so it's exactly what you're looking for.
