Brake Controller Installed in 2017 Ford F150 Malfunction
Question:
Prodigy 2 brake controller is installed on a 2017 Ford F150 XLT w/V6 engine. After installing the 7 way receptacle and the Prodigy P2 brake controller, I plugged in the connector that I removed from behind the dash to the harness I purchased from etrailer. The harness was already plugged into the brake controller. The brake controller flashes .c. constantly. The screen in front of the steering wheel of my truck shows the following faults. STEERING ASSIST FAULT SERVICE REQUIRED, PARK BRAKE MALFUNCTION SERVICE NOW, SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC, STEERING MALFUNCTION appeared momentarily and then quit appearing. Verbal message repeats that 911 assist not available. The visual symbols for the faults also appear on the screen. I Unplugged the brake controller until I receive instructions from you. What is the problem?

I looked in on your order, and It looks as if you have the incorrect brake control wiring harness. The 2017 Ford F150 uses the # 22292 harness, and from your order history, it appears that you ordered # 3034-P, which is a fit for older Super Duty pickups, E-Series vans and the Expedition/Navigator.
Both harnesses use the same connector, but they are pinned out differently as shown in the provided photo. Both connectors have the output circuit and the power feed from the battery in the same spot, but the input from the brake switch and the ground connection are different between the two.
I've provided a photo showing how both connectors are pinned out.
