Recommended Wiring Harness for 5th Wheel With Separate Circuits to Have a 4 Way Connector for Towing

Question:

My fifth wheel has a separate wire for the turn signals and break lights. I’m wanting to put a flat four wire on the back for when I tow random. The four wire outlet uses one wire for the turn signal and break lights.

I recommend usiing the Converter with 4 Pole Flat # HM48925 that you were looking since it will combine the brake lights and stop lights from your 5th wheel trailer into a combined system and provide you with a 4 way connector at the same time. This eliminates the need for using normally separate parts and really streamlines the installation process for you.

If your 5th wheel has a reverse light circuit and the trailer you'll be tandem towing has a 5 way with a circuit for reverse lights, you can add the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way Flat to 5-Way Flat - Vehicle End # C57187. You'll just need to use the additional wiring that comes with the C57187 to connect to the reverse light circuit and then wire it to the adapter.
