Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that Does Not Need to Be Activated

Question:

After installing the hitch and wiring , I went to the dealership to have it turned on . $150 The Tec told me that he programmed the computer but the socket does not work . They tried to blame the aftermarket part so I bought the OEM part and asked for a retest The socket still did not work , the service manager got mad and gave me my money back. I still don’t know if it is a bad programming job or missing fuses, or something else . Any advice on a plan of attack ? I would like to make sure it’s not a fuse or something stupid before trying another dealership.

I have an easy solution that will take care of your trailer wiring on your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Tekonsha kit part # 118727. This installs by plugging inline with the taillight connectors of the vehicle and does not integrate with any of the factory wiring so you wouldn't have to go to a dealer or worry about any of their packages being active.
