In many respects, the hitches are very similar. The B&W uses a 1 inch thick that grips the king pin super tight for exceptional ride quality. The Curt jaws aren't quite that thick, but the unique interlocking jaw system holds the king pin just as tightly.

In my opinion, the differences between the two come down to three different factors. The right hitch for you will depend on which factors are most important for you. These factors are quality/cost, convenience and hitch height.

The # BWRVK3670 Companion is more expensive by a few hundred dollars. Quality-wise, I'd give it a slight edge over the Curt, as the Companion is US manufactured. Because it doesn't require a separate adapter like the Curt A20, It'd be more convenient and quicker to install. The hitch is height adjustable from 17-19 inches, so if the height of the underside of your pin box is in that range when it's level, you cannot go wrong with the # BWRVK3670 Companion.

As for the Curt A20, the # C16541 is the less expensive option. As mentioned, it's level of quality is excellent. Part # C16022 is required to adapt the hitch itself to the factory puck system, so there's one additional part and install step you'd need to contend with, but if the lower price evens that out for you, it'll work great for you. One large advantage that the Curt A20 offers is a taller range of height adjustment. Including the 2 inch height of the adapter, the hitch is adjustable from 19-1/2 to 23-1/2 inches above the bed floor. If that height fits better with your 5th wheel, this hitch will work perfectly for you.

You can't go wrong either way you go here, the deciding factor will depend on your budget, the amount of convenience you are looking for and the range of height adjustment that will work best for your 5th wheel.
