Edge CS2 for 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 Beeps

Question:

I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3l with the edge cs tuner but when I plug the tuner into my OBDII it beeps twice and doesn’t power up. I have power to both cigarette lighters as well. Need it to power up because my pickup is stuck in tow/haul

I was unable to find you in our system to determine the tuner you purchased from us but if it's the Edge Gas Evolution CS2 Performance Tuner # EP85350, that fits your 2005 Silverado 1500 with a 5.3L engine there are a couple of potential issues.

Since you mentioned the power to the cigarette lighters is good, and I assume it isn't too hot via being in direct sunlight, I am guessing that you have a malfunction. According to the linked installation instructions you can update it with the Fusion software. The procedure on how to do this starts on page 10 of the linked instructions.
