Bright Reverse Light Recommendation for Boat Trailer

Question:

I need to install bright backup lights to my boat trailer. The trailer is currently 5 pin wired with the blue wire for disengaging the surge hydraulic brakes feeding off of the backup light connection on the truck. Currently I have this 5pin plugged into a 7pin to 5 pin connector on the truck. Can I splice into the blue brake wire to also power the lights? Or do I need to convert the trailer pin connector to a 7 pin? If conversion is necessary, what do I need to purchase and how do I wire it? The truck is a 2020 F250

The wire that is powering your reverse lockout can power reverse lights like you are wanting since it's the reverse light circuit from your tow vehicle.

For a really bright submersible tail light you can use on your trailer we have the Optronics part # BUL78C3MB. This is a submersible LED backup light that can put out 490 Lumens so it's your best all around option. We've had other customers with boat trailer come back and say this puts out quite a bit of light and worked great for them!
