Wider Trailer Tire Replacement for 4.80x12 Tires
Question:
Currently have 4.8 x 12 tire on 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern rim These are fine on pavement, but on the grass they dig in I am looking for a much wider tire - see some 8-12 wide tires and wondering what you offer for full wheel set ups need to replace both wheels so this is the time to do it

In order to replace 4.80x12 tires you have quite a few options but the widest option for this is going to be based on the available space you have. The 4.80x12 tires are 4.9" wide so if you are looking for a wider option, I recommend a 215/75-14 which is 8.4" wide. That said, the 215/75-14 is 26.3" diameter and the 5.80x12 is 20.7" diameter so you need to make sure you have the extra space needed. I recommend 3-4" between the top of the tire and bottom of the fender and 1" between the inside of the tire and frame.
The Loadstar ST215/75D14 Bias Trailer Tire with 14" White Wheel part # AM3S550 is an excellent cost effective option for the above replacement size.
