Can Spacers Be Added To Timbren Service Duty Model for 2020 Ford F-350

Question:

Hi e-trailer, It appears the severe duty is too short. Unloaded, there are 2 1/2 inches of free space to axle, with the 1” spacer installed. See attached photo. I am leery to stack any more spacers due to the added leverage on the core 3/8” center bolt for any cross load/articulation situations. I desire 1/2-3/4” unladen space - for a truck camper load, 3,500 lbs Truck is a brand new 2020 F350 DRW 14,000 GVWR _with_ camper package. Does Timbren have any new/revised part#s ? The ‘product finder’ on their website is non functional. If not, I may fab a metal spacer bracket for the frame mount. Thanks again,

The correct Timbren Suspension Enhancement System for a 2020 Ford F-350 is part # TFRTT350J for service duty applications and part # TFR350SDJ for standard duty applications. The service duty models are smaller in height but more dense so they offer more support. The only time the service duty models should be used is with an in-bed camper in which case the truck would be loaded all the time so your space between the spring and contact point would be little to none.

If you want to use the service duty model and reduce the unloaded space between the spring and contact point you will need to add spacers, part # A25723-90AH00. In regards to support, you won't have any issues so long as you do not exceed 4" spacers per side per Timbren.
