TracRac CapRac for 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500 With Camper Shell

Question:

I have a TracRac one ladder rack. I now have a topper on my truck and was wondering can I buy the TracRac CapRac foot plates and swivel kit to make this mount to the top of my ladder rack? Is it compatible and what would I need in order to make this work correctly? Thank you

I contacted Thule for you to find out if it was possible to use the crossbar of the TracRac TracONE ladder rack with the hardware for the CapRac, but they told me they are not compatible. The reason is, the crossbars of the two systems are entirely different in regards to how they mount.

So to use a ladder rack on the camper shell of your 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500 you would need a new system, the Thule TracRac CapRac Ladder Rack for Camper Shell/Truck Cap # TH29200XT.
