Trailer Wiring For 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 With Tow Package

I have the hitch already but no wires that I have seen do I need to hard wire it to the truck Wiring harness for a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 with tow package

If the 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 has a tow package you can use Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package part # C55774 which will plug into a connection near the rear bumper of the truck. I have attached a photo of what that connection point should look like.
If you look at the rear of your vehicle and there is just a bundle of wires you will need to hard wire the connector. For that you can use part # PK11898.
