Right Turn Signal Not Working On Trailer After Rewiring Light Assemblies
Question:
I have rewired my trailer and installed new light fittings. All functions work but one, the right flasher My vehicle light flashes and I can hear the beeping sound but no trailer light flashing. I’ve tested the bulb to check it not faulty. I also checked to see if there is a circuit using a volt metre. It only seems to show there being a circuit when I disconnect the flasher cable from the fitting. As soon as I reconnect it it shows no circuit. Could it be there’s not enough current reaching the bulb? Could it be the relay in my car? I’m really lost with this. As I said all of the other functions work.

I believe you are saying the right turn signal is not working on the trailer. If you are activating the turn signal on the vehicle and you have power on that wire using the circuit tester like part # PTW2992 until you get to the light then the problem is the light. I recommend to make sure you have the light assembly properly grounded to a clean bare metal surface or it has a good ground to main ground on your trailer. It would not be the relay or fuse in the car because you wouldn't have power to that circuit at all if that were the case.
