Will the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2018 Ram 3500 Work With the Turning Point Pin Box

Question:

I have a 2018 Ram 3500 SRW Laramie 6.5 ft bed, with the factory installed fifth wheel prep package. I am looking at a fifth wheel Rockwood 8299SB that comes with a LCI turning point hitch. Would the BWRVK3670 work with this factory pin box? Or do you recommend a different one. I like to have a 20K hitch. Thanks!

The correct B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for a 2018 Ram 3500 is part # BWRVK3670 if you have a short bed or part # BWRVK3600 if you have a long bed. However, since you will be using a rotating pin box you won't need the sliding hitch (BWRVK3670) and can use the fixed hitch (BWRVK3600) instead even though you have a short bed. The fixed hitch is lighter therefore easier to move so this will be better. If you like, you can still use the sliding version but you wouldn't want to engage the slider while towing. The Lippert Turning Point Pin Box will work with either B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitchs but you will need the 5th Airborne Custom Wedge for B&W Fifth Wheels part # SWW-06 as well but that's all.

The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch is your best option hands down so I would not go any other route.
