SCS/Frigette Coach Steps Click/Chatter While Retracting
Question:
We have installed the new part on our steps. However, when the steps close they keep clicking like they dont know they are closed. Any suggestions?

Expert Reply:
The problem with the steps chattering/clicking when retracting is actually an issue with the motor, not the controller. I will admit that most customers do think it's the controller but as stated it's actually the motor not amping out which is what lets it know to stop since the steps are closed. Therefore, you need the Replacement Motor for Lippert Electric Coach Step part # LC301695 to stop the steps from clicking/chattering while retracting.
