Is Air Bag Suspension Enhancement Recommended for 2017 Ford F-350 Towing 14k 5th Wheel

5th wheel tongue weight 1975lbs Trailer gross weight 14,000lbs 2017 F350 SWB 6.7L 24k 5th wheel hitch puck system 20,600-21,500 max towing Max tongue 5th wheel 10 of trailer weight Some people say I have stated that I need air bags. Of course some say I don’t need them. What is a must and why? What is needed from a safety standpoint and why? What is nice but not a must? Please help.

Any time you are towing a fifth wheel trailer you are going to benefit from an air bag kit to give you additional suspension support. Your trailer weighing 14,000 lbs is quite a bit of weight. An air bag kit like the part # F35FV would give you a much safer and easier towing experience.

For a compressor kit then the heavy duty part # F2097 will make inflating the bags and maintaining them very easy. The compressor will inflate faster than standard compressors and the gauge inside the vehicle will allow you to monitor and inflate them from inside the vehicle as well.
