Under the Hood Connections Required to Power a Trailer Brake Controller on a 2008 Chevy Avalanche

Question:

On a 2008 avalanche I hooked up brake controller to wires supplied under dash as directed is there a fuse that needs to be added in fuse panel or block under hood to complete application.

Expert Reply:

The 2008 Chevy Avalanche is probably set up like other GM trucks and SUVs in that there are cases where you do have to make some under hood connections to make the brake controller and/or 7-Way trailer connector fully functional. I have included a link to an FAQ article that will help. You need the part near the end titled Finalizing Connections for the Brake Controller.
