The trailer hitch lock # C23519 is designed to fit in a 5/8 inch diameter hitch pin hole found on a 2 " or 2-1/2" trailer hitch. The span or part that goes through the receiver and accessory is 3-5/8" inches long, overall it is 6 inches long so it is a fairly long lock.
I personally like the flush mount type from etrailer, # e98880. The span is 2-5/8 inches so the 2 ends are flush with the receiver. This lock has a rubber cap on the lock end to protect it from the elements. I have included links to video reviews of each of these locks for you. Either lock will work well as a lock to secure the cargo.
