Trailer Turn Signals Work Intermittently with Trailer Connected to a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
will the curt T-connector wiring harness #c56078 work properly on 2010 Hyundia Santa FE with factory installed tow package. I am having problems with the directional lights working on and off. I have gone so far as to give each trailer tail light a dedicated ground wire and the problem still exists. the tail and runing lights seem to be fine. I have Tested the power at the plug with a light bulb and it seems to work fine.

First, each trailer light should have its own ground. Trailer lights normally ground through the mounting studs unless there is an obvious ground wire. In either case the grounds should be attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. Anything between the ground connection and the light, like a plastic license plate holder for example, will cause a bad ground.
On aluminum trailers, if the ground is not sufficient then you would need to attach the light grounds to the main trailer connector ground. Check the trailer side connector for dirt and corrosion and clean it out. The intermittent functionality of the lights does sound like a bad ground or loose or broken wires.
If you have tested the vehicle side trailer connector then it is most likely not the harness and changing to # C56078 would not solve the problem, though it would fit.
