The height adjustment for the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch with Slider - Ford Super Duty Prep Package # DM8550024 (18,000 lbs) and # DM8550038 (21,000 lbs) is found in the "Side Rail Assembly Instructions" of the hitch.

I have cut out the section of the instructions - as well as linked them - that details exactly what you need to do in order to adjust the height of your hitch.

What determines what height to set the side rails? I have a 2019 Ford F-250 SD truck, I had my Demco Slider hitch installed and they put it in the lowest 151/4” setting. Because of COVID 19 I have not used the hitch but plan to on June 10. I have hooked up to trailer and It looks ok, but I don’t want to damage my new truck. When the hitch slides back in a turn will the frame of the trailer hitch catch my side retails or tailgate. How do you determine whether to set it at 15 1/2, 16 3/4 or 18 1/4???

You want to have at least 5 to 6" of clearance between the top of the bed rails and the bottom of the trailer nose. If you have this currently with the hitch at its lowest setting, and the trailer itself looks level when hooked up, you're good to go. If not - you'll just want to raise the hitch to the next highest setting and measure the setup again.
