The height adjustment for the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch with Slider - Ford Super Duty Prep Package # DM8550024 (18,000 lbs) and # DM8550038 (21,000 lbs) is found in the "Side Rail Assembly Instructions" of the hitch.
I have cut out the section of the instructions - as well as linked them - that details exactly what you need to do in order to adjust the height of your hitch.

What determines what height to set the side rails? I have a 2019 Ford F-250 SD truck, I had my Demco Slider hitch installed and they put it in the lowest 151/4” setting. Because of COVID 19 I have not used the hitch but plan to on June 10. I have hooked up to trailer and It looks ok, but I don’t want to damage my new truck. When the hitch slides back in a turn will the frame of the trailer hitch catch my side retails or tailgate. How do you determine whether to set it at 15 1/2, 16 3/4 or 18 1/4???
