Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2011 Ford F-150
Question:
I have recently purchased a 2011 Ford F-150 supercrew cab w/o the tow package and would lijke to occassionally tow a pop up camper. I need a recomendation on a trans cooler. As a side note, does mounting the transcooler to the front of the radiator impede the air flow to the radiator?

Mounting a transmission cooler in front of the radiator will not be able to block enough air flow to have a negative effect on the engine temperature. There are actually several places you could mount a supplemental cooler. I have included a link to our FAQ article on transmission coolers for you.
Transmission coolers are not vehicle specific so you can use the largest one that will fit because the fluid cannot be over cooled. The most popular cooler we carry is # D13503. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation for you.
