3 Bike Trunk Mount Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2007 Volvo XC70

Question:

My rack for my previous car Subaru Forrester does not work on my 2007 Volvo XC70 because the clamps do not fit in the upper hatch rim. I did not try the bottom. Will the alternative traps with the bars work. If so, do you have directions for that?

For 3 bikes, we do have some options from Thule. I recommend the OutWay 3, # TH56BV. This bike rack uses only 2 retractable cables rather than 6 straps to secure to the vehicle so it installs and removes faster than any other bike rack I have seen.

The cables can be locked into place to deter theft. The rack also features a cable lock to secure the furthest out bike to the rack preventing the theft of all the bikes.

If you will be carrying women's, children's, or alternative frame bikes, I recommend using the bike adapter bar, # TH982XT, for greater ground clearance and to carry the bikes more level. I have included a link to a video that shows how the adapter works.
