Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2011 Lincoln MKX

Will the Thule Trunk Bike Rack fit on a 2011 MKX with a built-in spoiler?

The spoiler is going to be an issue but I do have a bike rack solution for you. First, the spoiler is going to interfere with the safe installation of a trunk mount bike rack so you will need to go an alternate route to carry bikes with the vehicle.
I recommend going with a trailer hitch and hitch mount bike rack. A trailer hitch is also much more versatile, it is the safest way to carry bikes, and it protects the vehicle more by keeping the carrier off of the vehicle.
The most popular hitch for your MKX is Draw-Tite hitch # 75992. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view. With the hitch installed you can use a bike rack like the Swagman Titan, # S63400. This rack features anti-sway cradles, the ability to tilt, and an integrated cable lock.
