Parts Needed to Tow a Trailer With a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
I just want to be able to pull a small trailer on the back of my Dodge Caravan 2002 without having to drill or weld anything to it. Will this piece work?

I have a solution for you to tow a trailer, but you'll need some additional parts since the Drawbar for 1-1/4" hitches # 36071 is just a ball mount that is slid into a hitch receiver; you won't be able to just attach that to a car and tow with it.
To start, you will need a trailer hitch like the Draw-Tite # 36296, which will bolt into the existing holes on the frame of your 2002 Dodge Caravan. Once that is installed, you can use the above mentioned draw bar with a hitch ball like the # 19256 (1-7/8" hitch ball) or # 19258 (2" hitch ball)-which will depend on the size of the trailer's coupler.
The final piece you will need is a wiring harness to power the trailer lights, which I recommend using the Tekonsha # 118376, which will plug into the sockets behind your tail lights and provide you with a 4 way flat connector for a trailer. I recommend using the Tekonsha over some of the other harnesses since they have a little bit more reliable converter box.
I've linked some installation videos of these products on similar Dodge Grand Caravans that you may want to have a look at and get an idea of how everything will install.
