Gooseneck Hitch Compatible with 2017 Ram 2500

Question:

I was looking at this project online that you offere my 2017 ram 2500 does not have a factory gooseneck hitch it has the plate of course across the frame will this bolt into the factory rails without a lot of modifications and be safe to use !

According to Draw-Tite, for the 2017 Ram 2500, the rail kit is already installed on the truck frame, as you mentioned. The correct Hide-A-Goose would be part # 9467. This gooseneck hitch is specifically designed to work with the pre-existing hitch plate. As you can see in the linked install video, the hitch will bolt right up. Once installed, the hitch will indeed be perfectly safe up to its 20,000 lb weight rating.

The # 9465 hitch you'd looked at isn't compatible with the plate installed on your 2017 Ram 2500.

If you were interested in installing a 7-way trailer connector in your truck bed, you could do so by using part # 50-97-410.
