No Splice Flat Tow Wiring Solution Recommended for 2019 Jeep Cherokee  

Question:

Hi We have a 2019 jeep Cherokee overland. Do you have a plug and play wiring harness so we can flat tow it behind a motor home? or is there a kit you have that you would recommend? I prefer not to splice the wires if possible so i dont run into any potential warranty issues. Thank you

I do have a wiring solution that won't require you to cut or splice into your Jeep's electrical system, however, there isn't a plug and play harness that will allow you to use your Jeep's taillights.

Your best option is to go with a set of magnetic lights, like part # PE26UR. This light kit simply plugs into your existing 4-Pole Flat trailer connector and can be easily mounted to any metal surface on your 2019 Jeep Cherokee Overland.

Keep in mind that even if you were to use a hardwire Diode Kit, like # RM-15267, which I highly recommend, you will be protected by the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act. This act states, in part, that unless the installation and the part caused the problem then the warranty cannot be voided. I've linked installation videos on both lighting solutions for you at the bottom of the page.

To complete the flat tow set-up on your Cherokee Overland, I recommend the following parts:

Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms (must have factory tow hooks and no Active Air Shutters) # RM-521451-5

Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar 8K (includes safety cables) # RM-676

Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # HM39524

You may also need a high-low adapter to make up for the height difference between your Jeep and the coach; I've included a link so you can browse our selection as well.
