Question:
Just was wonder what would be the correct model transmission cooler for a 2006 Toyota Camry? Is the D13501 the correct model or do I need to go 1 model up?

The Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler, # D13501, would be a great choice for your 2006 Toyota Camry. It would not hurt if you wanted to step up to the Derale Series 8000 Cooler, # D13502, but it may not be necessary. Cooler # D13501 has a class II rating for vehicle that will be towing up to 3,500 lbs, which is most likely the maximum rating for your vehicle.
If you choose to step up to the # D13502 cooler, then you will want to measure to make sure you have space available to install this cooler. The ideal location for a transmission cooler is directly behind the grill, in front of the AC condenser or radiator.
I have attached a transmission cooler installation video for you to check out as well as two articles for you to review. The vehicle in the installation video is different, but it should give you an idea on how to install the cooler with the transmission lines.
I would recommend using compression fittings when connecting the hose to the transmission lines because it will provide a better connection than simply sliding the hose over the line and clamping it down. We offer three different sizes of compression fittings, # D13031, # D13032 and # D13033. The most common size is 3/8 inches, but I would recommend measuring the diameter of your transmission lines and match that up with the proper fitting.
