What is Difference Between Pin Weight and Payload Capacity for 2007 Chevy Silverado

Question:

I have a 1500 Silverado z71 with 5.3l and 373 gears. It also has a long bed. My camper has pin weight of 1320 and payload says max is 1375. Camper loaded is just under 7500 .

So payload capacity is different from the pin weight capacity of a fifth wheel trailer since payload is basically the weight capacity of the truck bed and the pin weight capacity is the capacity of the frame since the hitch doesn't use the bed as support and attached directly to the truck frame.

So you are totally fine to tow your 7,500 lb trailer with your 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500.
